This is a special and amazing trip we suggest you. The departure is from Rocca Sinibalda, dominated by the famous 16th-century castle, perched on a rocky outcrop standing in the Turano valley, a few kilometers downstream of the dam.
You continue along the lake to stop at Castel di Tora, a medieval village dominated by the tower of the castle. Facing the country, on a small peninsula, stands a rocky outcrop, with the ruins of the Del Drago castle, at the foot of which you find the ruins of the ancient village of Antuni.
Further upstream, on the right side of the lake, on both sides of a wild valley, you will see the two nice medieval villages clinging to rocky slopes: Ascrea and Paganico.
Finally you go up to Collalto Sabino, to enjoy the beautiful village, visit the imposing fortress and the breath-taking view.
